Actress Hanee Lee has shown various talents in her new megahit movie <Extreme Job (directed by Lee Byeong-heon, distributed by CJ E&M)> which has exceeded 5M admissions in Korean theaters, 10 days after its release on Jan 23.
The movie is about a team of 5 narcotics detectives who goes undercover in a fried chicken restaurant to stake out an organized crime gang. It scored highest opening among the comedies ever released in Korea and with decent audience score, is expected to stay top in the box office during coming national holiday season.
Lee played detective Jang, an all-around troubleshooter in the anti-drug squad who is foul-tongued and hot tempered yet cares her colleagues with her good heart. She perfectly acted out dual faces of the character who becomes a seemingly trained hall manager of a chicken restaurant at daytime and a furious cop who chases after a notorious boss of drug dealers at nighttime. She also added romantic comedy partnering with detective Ma with their unique relationship and chemistry.
Lee will also play an ambitious prosecutor in upcoming tv-series <The Fiery Priest (SBS)> which will be on-air from Feb 15.
<Extreme Job> opened in States starting from CGV LA on Jan 25 and from Feb 1 and the screenings will be expanded to 14 cities including NYC, Seattle, San Diego, Chicago and etc. See more list of theaters at : http://www.cj-entertainment.com/movie/extreme-job/
